About Course

The Jewellery CAD Professional in Rhinoceros course is a comprehensive, industry-oriented program designed to train students and professionals in creating high-quality, production-ready jewellery designs using Rhino 3D. The course progresses from fundamental CAD skills to advanced jewellery modeling, ensuring a strong technical foundation along with practical design expertise.

In Level 1, learners are introduced to the Rhino interface and essential modeling tools. This level focuses on creating and editing geometry, control point editing, solid and surface modeling, and hands-on practice to build accuracy and confidence. Students also learn import/export workflows, rendering, dimensioning, printing, and customization for efficient jewellery design.

Level 2 expands into more advanced modeling concepts, including NURBS topology, curve creation and continuity, section-based modeling, surface continuity, and history-based modeling. Learners explore advanced surfacing, sculpting, deformation tools, polygon meshes, surface analysis, and rendering, along with modeling from reference images and applying 2D graphics—key skills for complex jewellery forms.

The Intermediate Level focuses on jewellery-specific applications, where students model a wide range of professional stone-setting techniques through structured assignments. This includes bar, prong, pavé, bezel, tension, fishtail, trellis, and other industry-standard settings, building precision and manufacturability into every design.

In the Advanced Level, students create complete jewellery pieces such as solitaire bridal rings, gents and signet rings, cocktail rings, necklaces, bracelets, bangles, chandelier earrings, jhumkas, and antique pendants. By the end of the course, learners will be capable of designing detailed, accurate, and production-ready jewellery models suitable for casting, prototyping, and professional presentation.
